A homeowners policy does not cover earthquake (including settling or other earth-related movement) or flood (loosely defined as ground water, including rain). These are separate coverages that must be purchased. Earthquake can be added to your current policy with some carriers (some insurance companies no longer offer earthquake coverage). Flood coverage is a stand-alone policy, usually written by a specialty company or under a national flood or catastrophe program. Please contact us if you are interested in these coverages.
